X30 Cancel Policy: Free-Cancel Windows, Penalties, and Exemption Requests

X30 취소 정책: 자유 취소 기간, 페널티, 면제 신청

Why This Matters

Every campaign on X30 is a reserved experience — a venue has set aside time, staff, and resources specifically for you. The cancel policy exists to protect that commitment on both sides. When you cancel within the allowed window, there is no penalty. When a cancellation falls outside it, a JEONG score adjustment applies automatically.

Understanding the rules before you apply means you can plan confidently and never be caught off guard.

Free-Cancel Windows {#groups}

Each campaign on X30 has a free-cancel window — the period during which you can withdraw from a campaign with zero penalty. The window is shown before you apply, so you can decide whether the commitment fits your schedule.

Free-cancel window Internal group Typical campaigns
Anytime cancellation (planned) X Public-benefit, volunteer, social-event, open-mission campaigns
Up to midnight, 7 days before your visit (D-7 KST) B Hotels, clinics, reservation-critical venues
Up to midnight, 3 days before your visit (D-3 KST, default) A Cafés, casual dining, retail
No free cancel — penalty applies from the moment you confirm C Highest-commitment campaigns

Planned anytime-cancel window: X30 plans to add the X group for public-benefit, volunteer, social-event, and open-mission campaigns. When this group is available and clearly labeled on a campaign, participants will be able to cancel freely without a JEONG penalty. Until then, the active groups are B, A, and C.

The free-cancel window for each campaign is shown clearly before you apply, and you must actively consent to the cancel policy as part of the application process. Your consent timestamp is recorded so there is never ambiguity about which policy applies to you.

Your policy is locked at apply time. If the venue later changes the group to a stricter one, the system protects you automatically — it always applies whichever deadline is more favorable to you. See Influencer Protection below.

Penalty Matrix

Regardless of which free-cancel window your campaign uses, the penalty is determined by when the cancellation happens relative to your visit date.

Timing JEONG adjustment
Within your free-cancel window, consent given 0
After the window closes (not same-day) -5
Same-day cancellation -10
No-show (not present at the scheduled time) -15

3-day window example (Group A) — visit scheduled for May 10:

When you cancel Result
May 6 (4 days before) 0 — within free window
May 8 (2 days before) -5
May 10, same day -10
May 10, you don't show -15

7-day window example (Group B) — visit scheduled for May 10:

When you cancel Result
May 3 (just before midnight, 7 days out) 0 — within free window
May 4 (6 days before) -5
May 10, same day -10
May 10, you don't show -15

No free-cancel window (Group C) — once your participation is confirmed, any cancellation incurs a penalty (-5, -10, or -15 depending on timing). However, you can always file an exemption request if circumstances warrant it.

Influencer Protection

The cancel policy snapshot captured at your apply time is stored permanently. If a venue later changes their campaign group after you have already applied, the system compares the deadline from your snapshot against the current live deadline, and uses whichever is later — the one more favorable to you.

This means: no matter what a venue does after you apply, you can never be penalized more harshly than the policy you agreed to at the time of your application.

Waiver {#waiver}

If a penalty has been applied and you believe the circumstances justify an exception, you can file an exemption request. The request is reviewed by the X30 operations team, and if approved, your JEONG score is fully restored.

Six accepted exemption reasons:

# Reason
1 Venue-side cancellation — the venue closed or withdrew from the campaign
2 Force majeure — natural disaster, major traffic shutdown, or comparable event
3 Operational error — X30 system error caused an incorrect penalty
4 Influencer legitimate cause — personal or family emergency, with documentation
5 Double booking — the venue confirmed another influencer for the same time slot
6 Campaign change — the venue materially changed the campaign after your application, without your consent

Filing rules:

  • You have 30 days from the date the penalty was applied to file
  • If your first request is rejected, you may file one more time (two total per penalty)
  • Only one request per penalty can be under review at a time

Once an exemption is approved, the JEONG points are restored exactly — a -5 penalty becomes +5 on approval, returning you to your pre-penalty score.

FAQ

Q: How do I know which group my campaign is in before I apply?
A: Your free-cancel window and deadline are displayed on the campaign detail page before you submit your application. You are required to check a consent box confirming you have read it.

Q: I cancelled within the window but still got a penalty. What happened?
A: This can occur if the consent box was not checked at application time (legacy applications from before this policy launched may not have a consent record). If you believe the penalty was applied in error, file an exemption request under reason #3 (operational error).

Q: Can I reschedule instead of cancelling?
A: Yes. A schedule change within your free-cancel window carries no penalty. Outside the window, you can still request a change — it goes to X30 for review. If approved, no penalty applies. Only if you cancel outright after the deadline does the penalty matrix apply.

Q: What if the venue cancelled, not me?
A: That falls under exemption reason #1 (venue-side cancellation). File a request and the X30 team will verify with the venue directly. Confirmed venue-side cancellations are approved.

Q: My exemption request was approved but my JEONG score hasn't updated yet.
A: The restoration is applied the moment the request is approved. If the number in the app hasn't refreshed, try a force-reload of your profile page. If it still shows the old score after a few minutes, contact support — the team can confirm the restoration in the system log.

Q: The free-cancel window feels too short for my campaign. Can it change?
A: The free-cancel window is set by the venue and reflects the real cost of a late cancellation to their business. The 3-day window (Group A) is the default for most casual venues. If a campaign has a 7-day window or no free-cancel window, that is disclosed before you apply and cannot be applied to you retroactively in a stricter way.
